Message from Rockets Head Coach

Dear Rockets’ fans,

I am pleased to announce that the Golden Rockets are ready for a long and prosperous playoff drive. I am confident we have a team that has the talent, depth, and desire to go deep into the KIJHL playoffs. This team is much improved from the beginning of the year and is ready to prove itself in the playoffs.

The 2010-2011 edition of the Golden Rockets has all of the pieces in place to be successful in the playoffs. We have solid goaltending in James Leonard and CJ Wass. Both have played well down the stretch and are both capable of making big saves at key times in a game. The defence has good mobility and moves the puck well. The backend is anchored by the punishing Brett McKernon and the slick puck moving Brett De Frias. We have probably the most potent group of forwards in the league. Lead by Josh MacDonald and TJ Fairall who are among the league leaders in points. This is a skilled group that has everything needed to get it done in the post season.

The Rockets might be one of the most improved teams in the KIJHL from the beginning of the season. We have improved in almost every facet of the game. Our defence, offence, and special teams have all gotten better as the year has gone on. Each of our players have also improved as individuals. All of this has resulted in more wins in the second half of the season.

The Rockets are ready for the playoffs. The only other thing that we need is a full building of fans. Please come out and support the boys. We need the rink to be rocking to give us that extra edge.
