Local schools welcome the Torch

Students gathered in the GSS gymnasium to hear Canadian Olympian Jake Wetzel speak and to gear up for the arrival Torch in Golden.

Golden’s students celebrated the arrival of the flame in style.

On day 84 of the Olympic Torch Relay, Golden Secondary School hosted a massive pep rally that included all the town’s schools and a motivational speech from Canadian Olympian Jake Wetzel.
