The winning team: Meva Dhami

The Golden Secondary School Bantam Boys Basketball team capped off an impressive 20-1 season by sweeping all three of their games this past weekend in Cranbrook to capture the East Kootenay Championship. The number one ranked Golden team beat Fernie and Kimberley enroute to the tournament final against surprise finalist Jaffray, who earlier had defeated number 2 ranked Sparwood. The entire Golden team was praised for their skill and sportsmanship by the tournament organizers who selected Golden team member Saje Gosal as MVP.
