Rockets’ Three Stars: Desrosier takes top honours again

For the second time this season, we named Ian Desrosier as the Rockets' top performer of the week.

The Rockets received a couple of standout performances from a pair of veteran forwards and a clutch goal from a newcomer to go 2-0 last weekend.

1. Ian Desrosier

Scored a hat trick on Friday night in the Rockets’ 7-4 win. The Golden native now has eight goals in just 12 games, putting him near the top of the KIJHL in scoring. Continues to impress alongside Tanner Watt and Cole Mckechney.

2. Cole Mckechney

Hasn’t let up since linemate Tanner Watt returned to the lineup. Helped out on a few of Desrosier’s goals and added a goal of his own on Friday. Now has 11 points in his last five games to move himself into second in the team’s scoring race.

3. James Gaume

The third line of Gaume, Spencer Gerth and Tanner Wit hasn’t quite broken out yet, but the signs would seem to indicate that it’s coming. Gaume notched his third goal of the season at an important time, scoring the OT winner in Saturday’s 4-3 triumph.
