This Friday will be the 9th year that Golden has been treated to a car show to mark Canada’s birthday. The Team Redline Car Show will be taking over downtown Golden on Canada Day showing off classic and modern cars from all over.
“It has been growing a bit every year,” said Jason Tang, who has been organizing the event with his family since the beginning. “Last year there were between 80 and 90 cars, so this year we’re hoping for maybe 100.”
The show is open to any kind of vehicle, and in the past they’ve seen cars that have traveled as far as Europe enter the show.
The show, along with the Farmers’ Market, will take up 9th Avenue North from 7/Eleven to Ford, and perhaps further, on July 1.
“It might extend past Ford this year,” said Tang. “Last year we ran out of room.”
Registration will be from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, however organizers request that participants also pre-register by phone or email so that they have a better idea of how many vehicles will be there on the day. You can reach organizers at 250-344-4883, or email@example.com.
