Fight between semi drivers
The Golden-Field RCMP were called to a disturbance, at the ‘old scales’ site on Highway 1, on January 17.
Once on scene police determined that one truck driver had become upset with another driver who was getting his truck repaired, and a fight almost broke out.
One male was warned about his behavior after it was alleged that he grabbed on to the shirt of the other. No charges are expected from the incident.
Police are investigating a report of a vehicle being keyed while parked at a local grocery store on 10th Avenue South. Officers responded to the call and saw that the 2004 Acura MDX appeared to have been keyed from the passenger door to the front fender.
The vehicle was parked in the lot during the afternoon. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Golden-Field RCMP at 250-344-2221 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Hotel guest scared of visitor
Officers were called to a local hotel, on January 21, just after 10:30 p.m. after receiving a report of two suspicious people who had knocked on the door of one of the rooms.
Police attended and were able to locate the two, who turned out to be known to the complainant, and just visiting.
Key drop box stolen
Police are currently seeking information regarding the theft of a key drop box from a local business on the Trans-Canada Highway, after receiving the report about the theft on January 22.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Golden-Field RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
Missing female later located
The female who was reported missing on January 21, was located later on the same day.
No more details about the report are being released.
Injured male rescued in Silent Pass
On January 21, at 3:31 p.m., Golden-Field RCMP received information of a spot beacon activation, mapping to the area of Silent Pass.
Police immediately activated Golden & District Search and Rescue (GADSAR).
One male was seriously injured and has been transported by air to a hospital in Golden.
