Golden Rockets: Three stars of the week

It was a difficult weekend for the Rockets, but a few veterans more than pulled their weight through a pair of losses.

Golden native Ian Desrosier grabbed the Rockets' top star this week for pitching in a pair of goals

1. Ian Desrosier

The Golden native recorded his 3rd and 4th goals of the season with a pair of tallies in the club’s 6-3 loss to the Fernie Ghostriders on Saturday. One of those goals came with the Rockets a man short, Desrosier’s second SHG of the season.

2. Nick Hoobanoff

Continued his physical style of play while also chipping in a pair of goals and an assist as a member of the Rockets’ top trio.

3. Daniel Dahlin

The Rockets captain had a steady, consistent pair of games on the blueline. His game isn’t flashy, but at 6’5″ and 200 lbs, Dahlin is an imposing figure and he continues to use his size well to make life difficult for opposing forwards.
