Eagles eyeing berth in provincials

It’s all or nothing for the GSS senior boys basketball team this weekend as they get set to host the Kootenay Zone Championship.

It’s all or nothing for the Golden Secondary School senior boys basketball team this weekend as they get set to host the Kootenay Zone Championship. The Eagles will be led by standout Grade 11s Saje Gosol and Neal Randhawa as they hope to qualify for the provincial championships in Langley.

The Eagles will kick things off with a game against Selkirk (Kimberley) on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. Should they prevail, they’ll move on to the championship game against either David Thompson (Invermere) or Prince Charles (Creston). That game will be played at 3 p.m., with the winner earning a berth at the provincials next month.
