Seniors Rental Housing

New units for assisted living.

Golden Community Resources Society is pleased to announce that we will be the operator of the new Seniors’ Independent Living units currently being built by BC Housing. GCRS presently manages the adjacent Mountain View Assisted Living facility.

This expansion responds to our constitutional commitment to ‘construct, hold, manage, provide and/or maintain affordable housing for low and moderate income persons.’ The new building will consist of eight, one bedroom suites, 563 square feet each, and will be connected to Mountain View Assisted Living.

Rent calculation will be based on 30 per cent of household income for tenants that meet the criteria set out by B.C. Housing.   See B.C. Housing website for more information.

Anticipated date for opening is December 1, 2011.

Applications are available at Mountain View Assisted Living or online at www.bchousing.org.

Please return completed applications or direct any questions to Tricia Bowness – Site Manager – 250-344-7924 Mountain View, 750 8th Avenue South, Golden – email  triciabowness@uniserve.com
