Good luck in the great, white North

As you all know from Nadine’s editorial last week, this will be her last issue of The Golden Star.

As you all know from Nadine’s editorial last week, this will be her last issue of The Golden Star.

Although I have only worked with Nadine for a short while, I imagine she will do great in Whitehorse. Her calm attitude and passion for the job will carry her far in her new role and I wish her luck in this step she is taking.

In the month or so that I have worked with Nadine I have learned that she is incredibly patient. I thank her for that patience as I became a camera bandit. Nadine noticed cameras beginning to go missing at different times, in all cases I had decided to take a few shots with it.

For the next few weeks I will be the lone reporter here in the office until the space is filled and I imagine I will be missing Nadine a lot in that time. I know many people in Golden will also be missing the reporter who made a large impact in the year that she has been in Golden.

I know that I am not alone in wishing Nadine good luck and I know we all hope she has a great time in her new home.

So with this I thank you Nadine for your time at the Star and being patient with this young reporter. Being the legislative reporter for the Whitehorse Star will be a job you will excel in and I know you will have an impact on the people as much as they will impact you.
