From all the athletes and parents of Golden Kicking Horse Alpine Team

Congratulations to Curt Thorne and Golden Minor Hockey Association and all the friends and families across the country and world.

Congratulations to Curt Thorne and Golden Minor Hockey Association and all the friends and families across the country and world, that voted and made this amazing achievement possible.

Winning the top prize in B.C. for the Kraft “Hockey Goes On” competition in such a convincing manor.

Commanding the most votes of any association in the whole of Canada.

We are proud to be associated with our sports friends on the ice and how you have set the bar for the rest of the sporting organizations in this fantastic community, to raise their game in developing youth sport here in this small town nestled in the mountains of western Canada.

In 2010 our Olympic athletes and communities across Canada rallied behind the slogan “I Believe.” See what happens when a few people “Believe”  and light the fire of other people’s imagination.

Congratulations again and thank you for what you have done for hockey, youth sports and the community here in Golden B.C.

Mark Baxendale

President of the Golden Kicking Horse Alpine Team
