A big Golden thank you on behalf of John Jenkins and the entire Smalltown Revival crew to all those who bought their tickets and came out to support our latest project on March 11th at the Golden Curling Club. From pre-planning to recording – mixing – mastering – and finally production, creating a new CD is a huge project, involving many people through the many stages. Being able to celebrate its completion and the new opportunities and potential it creates with great friends, neighbours and our community, provides lasting memories and re-newed energy as we continue to move forward with our music.
We would like to thank the Golden Curling Club – in particular Gilles St. Yves – for being great hosts and providing such a fantastic venue for the party. Special thanks to the volunteers; Ron and Gilles on the bar, Brandi – holding it down at the door, Emily – keeping the shoes and the ice clean, Liz – working the merchandise table, and Johnny M – helping stir up the chili. Also thank you to Marcus Myerscough, a.k.a. DJ Miami, for flying in, spinning some great records between sets and keeping them dancing till the end of the night. Thanks to Dave Best for graphic design, web development and continued support of our music. Thanks to Kirk Verner @ The Golden Star, Jason Eastwood @ The Force Gazette and James Knoop @ The Golden Scoope for the great articles and reviews. Thanks to Rachel Darvill – photography. Also, a big thanks to all the staff down @ Plain Wayne and Jane for doing such a great job moving tickets.
With the event selling out, we know there are many people that wanted to attend but couldn’t, we also thank you for your support. You can follow the band’s upcoming shows @ www.smalltownrevival.ca – the new CD ‘Music From Home’ is now available for purchase at Off the Wall and Moon River Gallery, buy direct from website or download from I -tunes. The band will once again be hitting the road for a few weeks this June with our friends The Warped 45s playing shows from Edmonton to Victoria and back.
Once again – thank you friends – and thank you Golden. Enjoy the new tunes !!
