Ronald Phillip ‘Ron’ Kohalyk

July 4, 1952 – June 21, 2021
Ron passed peacefully at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Ron was born in Radway, Alberta.
After living a few years in Edson, AB, Ron and Lois settled in Golden where they raised their family.
Ron and Lois retired in Armstrong where they have many close friends and enjoyed going to listen to local musicians at the Armstrong Legion, Enderby and on their annual trip to Quesnel to a Music Fest. Never one to sit still long, Ron took up woodworking during retirement and made each of his grandchildren treasure boxes.
Ron’s life revolved around his family. He was hard working, lived by his values and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbours. He was a person who made a difference because of who he was on the inside.
Ron will be sadly missed by his wife and soulmate Lois; his children: Chad (Kumi), Jason (Diana), Jessie; his grandchildren: Sasha, Maya, Johnny and Frankie and his brothers and sisters.
The lake is calling so I must go, but don’t cry for me when I’m gone just smile because I was here.
