Robert David “Bob” Solberg died suddenly at Langley, B.C. on Tuesday, November 17th, 2009 at the age of 54 years. A Celebration of Life Service was held at the Golden Senior’s Centre on Monday afternoon, November 23rd with Reverend Judith Hardcastle officiating. Cremation followed the service with interment of the cremated remains to take place in the spring.
Bob was born in Iserlohn, Germany on June 12, 1955 and had been a resident of Golden since 1965. He worked in the forest industry for most of his life. Bob loved cross country skiing and hiking in his younger years. Bob’s friends and family were most important in his life.
Bob was predeceased by his father Martin in 1986. He is survived by his two children: Devin and Taylor, both of Golden; the children’s mother, Janet Soukeroff of Golden; mother, Anna Solberg of Cranbrook; brother Fred (Jean) Solberg of Golden and two nephews: Shaun of Golden and Tyson of Seattle.
