Rene Alphonse Bouchard

Rene Alphonse Bouchard was born in Radville, Saskatchewan on July 7, 1935. He passed away peacefully at the Golden and District Hospital on Wednesday November 9th, 2011 at the age of 76 years.

Rene is survived by his brothers John, Bill, and Gilbert (Verna) and his sisters Margaret (Jay) Larsen, Ann Mellon and Simone and many nieces and nephews.

He worked as a farm labourer as a young teenager. Rene and his brother Bill moved to Golden B.C. where he was employed by Louisiana Pacific Mill in Golden and Donald as a planer and grader. He was an avid member of the Golden Golf Club for many years and was especially proud of achieving a hole in one. He also excelled in bowling, winning many trophies.

He was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Parish in Golden where he assisted in taking the Sunday Collection.

Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church at Golden B.C. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 10 a.m. with Father Jim McHugh the celebrant. The Eulogy was presented by Jim Doyle.

Interment followed in the Golden Columbarium in the City Cemetery, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall, courtesy of the C.W.L.
