Muriel Holdsworth Hein

January 15, 1928 – October 13, 2019
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Muriel Holdsworth Hein.
Mom passed away on October 13, 2019 at the age of 91 years, and expressed that she enjoyed her entire life. The highlight for her was her 52 year loving relationship with her husband Perry, who died in 2008, and the joy of raising their 4 sons.
Muriel is survived by her sons Philip (Leslie), James (Susan), John (Kara), and Stephen; her 7 grandchildren Ryan, Jordan, Brent, Evelyn, Melanie, Sarah, and Hayley; and her 4 great-grandchildren Olivia, Riley, Liam, and William.
Muriel is predeceased by her husband Perry Hein; and parents James Taylor and Marcia (nee Holdsworth).
Muriel was well known in the medical community with her work as the coordinator for Continuing Medical Education at the Calgary General Hospital. She also spent 20 years as a volunteer White Hatter at the Calgary International Airport.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Mark Sosnowski for his years of dedication in caring for both mom and dad, and to the staff at the Bow Crest and the McKenzie Towne Long Term Care Centre’s for their tenderness and high quality care provided to Muriel in her last few months.
A Celebration of Muriel’s Life was be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1903, 19 Avenue N.W., Calgary, Alberta, on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 1 pm.
