April 1, 1960 - October 4, 2021
It is with great sadness the family of Merv Cameron announce his sudden passing on October 4, 2021 at the age of 61 years.
Merv will be greatly missed by family and friends. He held a special place in all our hearts with his loving caring and kindness.
Merv was predeceased by his Dad and best friend, George Cameron. And is survived by his Mom, Margaret Cameron, sister Myrna (Kirk Garner), and sister Dolly Moyer. Nephew and nieces Shane (Ceejay) and Terri (Jordy), Marie, Christina (Menak), Tasha, and Candice (Derek). Along with eleven great nieces and nephews.
Merv was born in Enderby BC in 1960. His family moved to Donald BC in 1963 and then to Golden several years later. Nicholson was his home where he resided for many years. There he could always be spotting game or gliders off of Mount 7 from his deck.
Merv started his career in the logging industry working in the bush alongside his Dad and then moved on to operating heavy equipment. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsmen. Merv loved to spend time in the bush spotting game or hunting whenever he got the chance. With the witness of his many trophy animals he acquired. He later chose taxidermy as a career and did many beautiful mounts with exceptional care and expertise. And always looked forward to hearing his clients hunting stories.
Thank you to Dr. Tan for your unwavering friendship care and thoughtful support to Merv. Also to the Golden Hospital Nursing Staff and Home Care Ladies we are forever grateful for your kindness and care Merv received throughout the years.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Golden District Rod and Gun Club, Golden BC.
