Margaret Jean Wilson

Margaret Jean Wilson

Jean Wilson passed peacefully at the age of 96 with family at her side. Jean was born in Crystal City, Manitoba to Henry and Minnie Stenhouse. She later moved to Saskatchewan, where she met her future husband Norman and raised their three children. Jean and Norm moved to Golden in 1961.

Jean loved to dance, play cards, travel and, in later years, she enjoyed coffee with her “coffee buddies” at the bakery.

Jean was predeceased by her husband Norman, sister Gertrude, and brother Jim. She is survived by her children: daughter Maureen (Gord) Cowan of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, and her sons Barrie (Sheila) Wilson of Calgary and Terry (Genny) Wilson of Golden; six grandchildren: Ted, Leslie, Randi, Tracy, Bob and Doug; ten great-grandchildren: Johanna, Amber, Shane, Gina, Laura, Sylvia, Carly, Jolee, Abby and Will; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella, as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Jean requested that there be no memorial service. Her family will have a grave-side service as she is laid to rest beside her husband in Eastend, Saskatchewan this summer. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice in Jean’s name.

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
