Lois Anna Johnson passed away in Durand Manor on Jan.13, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Lois was born on Oct.16, 1927 in Seattle, Washington, the only daughter of John and Ruth Chamberlain.
When she was quite young the family moved to Clyde, AB where she grew up with her brothers. When she left home she went to Nelson where she married the love of her life, Dewey Johnson, on Jan 13, 1947. They lived in Kaslo a few years then moved to Golden in 1953 with their girls. Her life was taking care of her family.
Lois loved to camp out at Bush Harbour with family and spent many summers there. She loved music and singing, and was a member of the Sunshine Serenaders. Lois was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Lloyd, Leroy and Leslie, her grand daughter Belinda and her beloved husband, Dewey. She is survived by her daughters Lorraine (Leslie), Edna (Brian), Jean (Larry), and Helen (Lloyd). Her grandchildren Brenda (Ken), Wes (Candace), Chris (Renata), Barret, Trena (Harley), Glenda (Rick), Harvey (Theresa), Jeff (Kristy), and Jeremy. Great grandchildren Cameron, Kerry ,Tathen, Demara, Connor, Fallen, Makayla, Jonnah, Kail, Rene, Kali and Kash. Lois will also be remembered by her extended families, nieces, nephews, and friends.
