Jeanette (Jan) Elliott, 83, passed away peacefully in Golden, B.C., with her daughter Elaine by her side.
Jan was the youngest of nine children born to Karl and Molly Steinhauer. She was predeceased by her six sisters; Pauline, Matilda, Martha, Esther, Edna, and Rita and two brothers; Edward and Henry.
Jan married the love of her life Ralph (Duke) Elliott in Edmonton in 1958. They welcomed their three daughters, then moved to Golden in 1968 where their son was later born.
Jan was predeceased by her husband Duke. She is survived by her four children: Karen (Rod), Elaine, Christine (James), and Douglas (Leona). Jan will also be missed dearly by 11 grandchildren; Jeanette, Jacqueline (Wes), Katherine (Will), Collin, Travis, Ainsley (Carson), Frank, Jenna (Brandon), Amy, Melissa (Mitchell), and Kylie (Zach) and eight great- grandchildren; Terrence (Rachel), Tristan, Sylas, Lucas, Tia, Sofia, Eli and Piper.
Jan was a dedicated Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who was the happiest when surrounded by her family. Our family will always be stronger because of Mom’s loving ways.
