Jacqueline Louise Franson (nee Henderson)

December 26, 1930 – April 11, 2019
Predeceased by Charlie, her childhood sweetheart of 69 years and husband of 63 years; Mother to Joan (Bert), Jo-Anne, Kim (Dan), Penny (Tony), Julie (Thilo), Russell (Tracey), Kevin (Kathy), Jim, and Mitch; Grandmother to 10, Great-Grandmother to 12, and foster parent to many others. Predeceased by her sister Laurie and niece Jill.

Jackie was an accomplished pianist/organist, invited to the Banff School of Fine Arts for piano when she was 15 and playing the organ in the Anglican Church in Golden for almost 50 years. Jackie played the organ in numerous churches in and around Golden for many years for weddings and funerals. Her love of music continued up until the end, when she played the piano at Durand Manor just a week or so before her death.

While Jackie enjoyed extensive travel and doing embroidery, baking, genealogy research, scrapbooking and card making, her main love was her family. Jackie was an avid cheerleader for her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s sports and arts activities and travel adventures.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place and a private family remembrance will occur.

“Miss me for a heartbeat, then close the door”

“Why weep for a soul set free to soar.”
