Mrs. Hedy Kucher passed away peacefully at the Golden & District General Hospital on Friday, November 3rd, 2006 at the age of 76 years. Mass of Christian Burial was held from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Golden on Saturday afternoon, November 11th with Father John Kellogg and Father John Zunti con-celebrants. Cremation with interment of the cremated remains followed the service in the Golden Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Scleroderma Society of Canada, 98 Woodfield Road S.W., Calgary, Alberta T2W 5K5, in memory of Hedy.

Hedy was born on December 20, 1929 in Luseland,

Saskatchewan and had been a resident of Golden since 1961. Hedy was predeceased by her husband, George Kucher on July 5, 2006 and her daughter Karen LaCroix on October 15, 1982. She is survived by her children: Jacky (Bob) of Coaldale, Alberta, Cathy (Archie) of Golden, B.C., Allan (Heather) of Calgary, Alberta, Ron (Kerryn) of Greenwood, B.C. and Gina (Brad) of Golden; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, siblings and other relatives. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.
