George passed away peacefully at the Strathmore Hospital on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. He had lived at the Wheatland Lodge in Strathmore, and formerly in Golden, B.C. George is survived by his beloved wife Shirley (nee Imler); children Leonard (Alice) Le Cerf of Strathmore, Vernon (Laurie) Le Cerf of Prince George, David Le Cerf of Grande Prairie, and Linda (Darrell) Rogalsky of Grande Prairie; grandchildren Angela (Shane) Friesen, Alicia Dennys, Brian Le Cerf and fiancée Robyn, Kimberly (Bobby) Hobbs, Danielle (Stephen) Berresford, Marc Le Cerf, Heather Le Cerf, and Amy Le Cerf; sisters Alice (Ernie) Foord, Yvonne (Paul) Overgarrd, Genevieve Le Cerf, and Theresa (Robert) Zutz; sisters-in-law Elody Le Cerf and Peggy Le Cerf; and 12 great grandchildren. George was a loving husband and devoted grandfather. He worked as a saw filer in the lumber industry in Alberta and B.C. for over 30 years. After retirement he pursued wood working hobbies, which gave him much pleasure. He was also an avid huckleberry picker.
