Gary Steven Charlton passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 9, 2016, in Invermere at the age of 60.
Gary is survived by his older brother Lee Charlton/Susan Charlton of Kamloops, BC, younger brother Kip Charlton/Caroline Charlton of Lake Cowichan, BC, younger sister, Merinda Charlton of Oregon, USA, and numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Kathleen Charlton, and older brothers, Randy Charlton and Lawrence Charlton.
Gary was born on January 13, 1956, in Burnaby BC to Kathleen and Glenn Charlton. He went to school in Port Moody and graduated in 1973. Gary resided in Golden since 1990 and worked as a conductor at the Canadian Pacific Railway until retiring in 2014. Gary loved to fish, camp and travel. Throughout his life, he made many friends and will always be remembered for his never ending smile.
A cremation has been arranged and a memorial/wake will be held on May 28, 2016, at 2:00 pm, located at 100 Cottonwood Street, Lake Cowichan for friends and family to attend.
