It is with deep sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Clinton Ronald Mader of Golden B.C.
Clinton is survived by Leanne Smyth; sons, Taylor and Austin Mader; his father, Brock (Donna); brother, Blaine (Leanne); grandfather, Ronald Mader; aunts, Laura, Valerie, Rhonda, and Dom; uncles Tim, Warren and Marty; nieces, Katelyn and Maddison; nephew, Joel; cousins Andrew, Brock, Jarren, Kai, Zack, Mike, Jamie, Darren, Miles, Tara and many friends.
Clint was born at Port Hardy Vancouver Island B.C.,
while growing up he loved fishing, camping, curling, baseball, football and golf. At a young age he had already made 2 holes in one at the Seven Hills golf course in Port Hardy and loved the game of golf through out his life.
Clint went off to college where he met Leanne. They moved to Lillooet where his brother Blaine lived, he got a job at the Mill and along came Taylor and Austin.
Clint moved to Golden and got a job with L.P where he worked for the last 15 years. While in Golden he watched his boys grow into young men. Clint took pride in his job and cared deeply for his co-workers. He had many good friends and if you knew Clint it wasn’t hard to like him. Always a positive and caring person.
Did we mention the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Clinton was the Biggest fan from a young age, it was Riders all the way. He loved the team so much he named his boys Taylor after Taylor field in Regina and Austin after quarterback Kent Austin, now that’s a loyal fan.
Clint’s Biggest love was his sons Taylor and Austin they were his everything.
Clint will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
There will be a celebration of Clint’s life at the Golden Curling Rink September 24th, 2016 at 3:00pm.
