Clarence Byron (Sandy) Sanderson

Clarence Byron (Sandy) Sanderson passed away peacefully at Durand Manor, Golden on Monday, October 26th, 2009 in his 90th year. A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Golden on Saturday afternoon, November 7th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Judith Hardcastle officiating. Cremation with interment of the cremated remains to follow in the Golden Community Cemetery.

Sandy was born in Morell, Prince Edward Island on November 25, 1918 and had been a resident of Golden since 1965. He was a proud veteran of World War 2. Sandy enjoyed his carpentry, playing bingo and watching hockey and sports on T.V. He is survived by two brothers: Guy (Grace) Sanderson of Calgary, Alberta and Ray (Sarah) Sanderson of Burlington, Ontario; two sisters: Doreen (Ray) Vansickle of Jerseyville, Ontario and Doris Woods of Montague, PEI as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are in the care of Hindman Bowers Funeral Home, Golden.

Sandy’s family would like to give many thanks to the staff at Durand Manor for their dedicated care as well as the regular visitors Sandy had.
