Mr. Borden McBee died suddenly at his residence in Parson, B.C. on Saturday, July 29th, 2006 at the age of 66 years. A Memorial Reception was held at the Golden Senior’s Center on Friday afternoon, August 4th with family and friends presiding. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ducks Unlimited Canada, 954 A Laval Crescent, Kamloops, B.C. V2C 5P5, in memory of Borden.
Borden was born in Calgary, Alberta on May 20, 1940 and had been a resident of the Columbia Valley since 1944. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Borden’s family was very important to him.
Borden is survived by his wife Mary of Parson; two sons: Dan (Debbie) McBee of Castlegar and Tom (Lisa) McBee of Whitehorse, Yukon; three grandchildren: Darrin, Alexandra & Ross; two sisters: Rena (Ken) Piggot of Golden and Glenna Pybus of Vancouver; one sister-in-law Judy McGillis (Brian) of Darwin, Australia as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
