Ann Elizabeth Weaver (nee Cameron) passed away peacefully at her home in Erie, Illinois in the presence of her loving family.
Ann was born in Cranbrook, BC on May 23, 1932, moving to Golden, BC at an early age when her father Neil Cameron was transferred to Golden as a provincial Game Warden. After completing high school at Lady Grey, Ann went to nurses training at the Holy Cross hospital in Calgary, Alberta where she made many lifelong friends.
After the untimely death of her first husband, Noel Lindsay, Ann moved to Moline, Illinois with her new husband Winston Trouesdale. There Ann continued in her nursing career eventually becoming Director of Nursing at Illinois Hospital, all while raising a young family.
Winston too passed at an early age and eventually Ann met and married Ralph Weaver of Erie, Illinois. Ann and Ralph had many happy years on their farm on the outskirts of Erie. There, they enjoyed many family gatherings including fish fries on the banks of the Rock river. Ann already an excellent cook, took on the challenge of learning to cook the southern style foods of Ralph’s native Arkansas.
Ann moved into town when Ralph passed and spent valued time with the growing family of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ann enjoyed many trips home to Canada, and especially to Golden. Ann was always eager to see the beautiful mountains of her childhood home.
Ann is survived by her children Suzanne, Allison, Ralph (Traci), sister Marg (Rudi) of Calgary, brother Don (Judy) of Golden. As well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Neil and Ellen Cameron, her sister Catherine, son Shaun, as well as husbands Noel, Win, and Ralph.
