As part of the Province’s Kicking Horse Canyon Project, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) is completing work in and around Golden., including construction on the intersection of Highway 95 and Park Drive.
Construction at the intersection is projected to take around five days to complete, as crews realign the intersection. Access in and out of Park Drive is closed.
The pedestrian crossing at the intersection is also closed. The lights at the intersection are not in use during construction.
Once construction is complete, left turns in and out of Park Drive will not be allowed.
This is in addition to work being done at Highway 95 and 9th St S, which will see the inclusion of protected left-turn lanes from the highway to 9th St S.
There will also be a new traffic signal activated at Highway 96 and 6th St N.
MOTI would like to emphasize to watch for signs and traffic control personnel during construction and to exercise caution while becoming familiar with the new permanent traffic patterns.
