RCMP Report: Stolen vehicle recovered in Golden

Golden officers are investigating the possession of stolen property, a commercial vehicle and load.

Intoxicated driver

OnDec.14,policerespondedtoadisturbanceataresidenceinSouthGolden. Avehiclewaschecked leaving the area, and the driver was found to be one of the persons involved in the disturbance. It was discovered that the driver had consumed alcohol prior to driving. As a result, the vehicle was impounded and the driver’s license was suspended for three days.

Stolen property from Lower Mainland

Golden officers are investigating the possession of stolen property, a commercial vehicle and load. The vehicle was stolen from the lower mainland.

PolicewerenotifiedthevehiclewasseenbetweenGoldenandRevelstoke. Officersrespondedand with the assistance of the Commercial Vehicle inspectors at the Golden scales the vehicle was pulled in for inspection.

Thedriverranfromthevehicleandattemptedtofleeinasecondwaitingvehicle. Policewereable toapprehendbothsuspectsashortdistanceaway. TwomalesfromWinnipegandOntarioarefacinga number of charges in the case.

Noise complaint

TherewasanoisecomplaintonthesouthsideofGoldenat2:30a.m.onDec.17. Policeattendedto discoveraloudpartygoingonattheresidence. Theresidentshutdownthepartywithoutanyfurther incident or complaint.

Injured sledder

PolicewerenotifiedofaSPOTbeaconactivationintheGoldenarea. EmergencyCoordinationCen- trewasnotifiedandGoldenandDistrictSearchandRescuerespondedtothecall. Itwasdetermined that a sledder had been injured and was in need of medical attention.

ThepersonwastransportedtotheGoldenHospitalfortreatment. Allothersinthepartywerefine and able to make their way out on their own.
