The Kicking Horse Country Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a completely new chamber website: www.goldenchamber.bc.ca. The site is entirely devoted to the local business community of Golden and Area A. The new site provides information that is attractive, rich in content, easy to navigate and focuses on the chambers mission statement – “Helping Business Thrive in Golden BC”.
“The website re-design project was made possible by grant funding provided by the Town of Golden and the Columbia Basin Trust. The KHCCC Board extends a special thanks for the support received in promoting our business community.” states Shawn Carr, President of the KHCCC. “After reviewing numerous bids the Marketing & Communication Committee awarded the contract to a team effort presented by Best Impressions, WenMar Graphics and Kick Creative, the results of the project has been well received by many of our partners.”
New features on the website include an interactive Community Calendar of Events. Now anyone in the community can post entertainment, fundraisers, and public meetings to the calendar. With this calendar businesses and organisations in the community have a centralized location to find out what’s going on?
Other strategic direction includes design guidelines which purposely share the look and feel of other community organizations like Tourism Golden and the Golden Golf Club. The new logo has been designed to share branding from the Town of Golden and illustrates the extent of the business community reaching out of the town centre into the mountains.
“The KHCCC website is amazing! We found the membership list extensive and it included the pertinent contact information required for our visit to Golden,” states Lori Stevenson of the Canadian Cancer Society, BC and Yukon Division. “We searched the site for accommodations and places to eat; knowing that Chamber members are quite dedicated to their communities we chose to support those businesses when possible. The events calendar is well populated, giving a good overview of the vitality of life in Golden.”
Special thanks are extended to Best Impressions, WenMar Graphics, Kick Creative, the KHCCC – Marketing & Communication Committee and KHCCC Manager Ruth Kowalski for the dedication to making the new website a success.
