On Sunday November 17 at 2 p.m., the Golden Seniors Centre will host a concert of 40s and 50s music with “Music at the Hangar”.

This is the second year in a row that the Centre has brought in this group. Hailing from the Netherlands, the group performs music by Glenn Miller, Doris Day, Rosemary Clooney and many others.

“When they approached us this year, we asked around and people said yes, we’d love to see them again,” said Seniors Centre president Irene Gray. “So really what we’re saying is that they’re back by popular demand!”

This year’s show is a bit different from last year, as the group has put together an air force themed performance.

“They are so good at what they do, they really are,” said Gray. “People just love it. If you love 40s and 50s music, you will love this show.”

Gray says that there will be services available, courtesy of the Golden Rockets, to help make the performance more accessible. For example, those who won’t be able to get up at intermission can be served tea and coffee by the young hockey players.

Tickets will be $15, and can be purchased at the Seniors Centre, or from any of the executive.
