On July 7 at approximately 11 a.m. local police and BC Ambulance crews responded to a report of a collision on Highway 1 involving a motorcycle. Upon arrival it was determined that the motorcycle had went off the roadway approximately 70 kilometres west of Golden, near the CPR snow shed.
A 58 year-old male from Saskatoon was transported to the Golden Hospital by BC Ambulance with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
Highway 1 experienced minor delays while emergency crews responded, but remained open.
Speed is believed to be a contributing factor to the collision.
