Highway Update Wednesday, January 22

Highway 1 is closed out by Quartz Creek FSR, due to a vehicle incident. Assessment is strill in progress, with no detours available. The estimated time of re-opening is 12:00 p.m. MST.

DriveBC reports compact snow along Highway 1 causing slushy driving conditions and slippery sections from Revelstoke to the B.C./Alberta border.

There will be maintenance along Highway 1 between Beaver Valley Rd and Columbia West FSR, causing up to 20 minute traffic delays.

Just east of there, maintenance is still ongoing in the Quartz Creek FSR area, causing its own 20 minute delays due to traffic control.

Heading west on Highway 1 just outside of Golden, watch for electrical maintenance between Forde Station Rd and 14th St N for tree pruning, causing single lane alternating traffic. Expect minor delays.

On Highway 95, watch for compact snow and slushy driving conditions with slippery sections between Golden and Radium.
