Highway Update January 20

Highway 1 is closed just east of Revelstoke according to DriveBC due to planned avalanche control work. Estimated time of reopening is 10 a.m. MST. Check DriveBC website for more updates.

There are up to 20 minute delays along Highway 1 in the Quartz Creek bridge area, as continued construction and maintenance impact the road.

Just east of that, be aware of single lane alternating traffic due to a vehicle incident along the highway.

DriveBC reports slippery sections along Highway 1, extending in sections from Revelstoke to the B.C./Alberta border. Compact snow and slushy road conditions contribute to the slippery highway.

Watch for slippery sections along Highway 95 between Golden and Radium due to compact snow.
