Golden Star and Fernie Free Press enter KIJHL wager

The publishers of the Golden Star and the Fernie Free Press have made a friendly wager over the Golden Rockets/Fernie Ghostriders series.

The publishers of the Golden Star and the Fernie Free Press have decided to make the second round of the KIJHL playoffs a little more interested.

The Golden Rockets / Fernie Ghostriders best of seven series has already started to heat up, being tied at 1-1. So the publishers of the two papers have made a wager, betting on their home teams.

The losing newspaper has to buy an 18-pack of beer for the winning paper, and the publisher of losing paper will have to wear the opposing team’s jersey for an entire day. A photo of the losing publisher wearing the jersey will also be featured in the newspaper.

Let’s try to get Fernie publisher Dave Hamilton in a red and white jersey. Go Rockets Go!
