The Kicking Horse Country Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to host “A Good Morning” network meeting at the British Columbia Visitor centre on Feb. 15.
The event, that will run from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., is a great way for people to meet, according to chamber of commerce manager Ruth Hamilton.
“Good Morning Networking meetings are casual group meetings to bring people together to encourage, build and help grow their organizations in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.”
Hamilton added she thinks there are many benefits to the gatherings.
“New businesses can learn from those who have had related experiences in the past. Group members benefit by making contacts with individuals who can help them by providing information or referrals. These referrals are of high quality because these individuals have a good experience with this business,” she said.
Hamilton added the last meeting was a great success, that the chamber is looking to build off of.
“The event connects people to people. At the last meeting we had new and established business owners, managers and directors of not-for-profit organizations, that got to know each other and exchanged ideas. From the last meeting I made contact with someone who was able to help me through a computer issue I was having at the time.”
