BREAKING: Golden Rockets part ways with head coach

It’s not clear why Jeremy Blumes was let go from the team

Jeremy Blumes is no longer the head coach of the Golden Rockets, according to a statement from the team.

“I can confirm that Jeremy is no longer the Rockets’ coach,” said Marko Shehovac, who is in charge of marketing for the local hockey team.

He confirmed the leadership change in an emailed statement on Monday afternoon.

It’s unclear why Blumes is no longer with the team.

The team has dropped their last two games, and have a 16-20-1-2 record so far this season. They are currently six points out of the final playoff spot in their division.

The Rockets still have 10 games left to play this season.

More to come.
