The F-Holes are out on tour and will be coming to Golden on September 10 for a show at the Rockwater Bar and Grill in support of their new CD “Angel in the Corner”.

Angel in the Corner was recorded in Winnipeg which is where the band hails from. In a recent interview Patrick Alexandre who plays upright bass, harmonica, guitar and sings as a part of the group explained how the group came together.

“A few of us were friends for a very long time before the band came together. Then we met the other guys and everything came together,” Alexandre said.

The band members all have different musical influences which help give the group a unique sound and live show.

“We all have a wide array of influences. We don’t all like the same music. That is why we don’t have a radio in our van,” Alexandre said.

The group just started the new tour and are happy to once again be out on the road. The F-Holes, who take their name from the hole in a bass, try to give something new to their performances.

“Well for this tour we are trying to give people the chance to hear the new songs. They can enjoy what we do while we put on a show for them,” Alexandre said.

This will be the first time the group has played Golden though they have played in different towns around Golden before.

“The music is a mix of everything that was good from 1920 to 1972. It comes from our different tastes and that shows at our live show,” Alexandre said.
