Born in Montreal and raised in North Vancouver, Craig Bolt has always had mountains in his backyard. His ski resort career started at Grouse Mountain in 1986 as a cook in the Beer Garden while he attended Capilano University studying Horticulture.
Since then, he has been fortunate enough to work at several ski resorts throughout B.C. and Australia in a wide variety of roles including but not limited to; Food /Beverage, Lift Operations, Trail Crew, Tramway Operations, Snowmaking, Grooming, Mountain Safety and Management.
In the fall of 2000, he moved to Golden to undertake the challenge of assisting with the opening of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in the position of Mountain Operations Manger, maintaining that role today.
He is also active in the Town of Golden community through the Golden Fire Department, the Nordic Ski Club, the Golden Food Bank and Alexander Park Elementary School.
