Resident raises concerns over Golden Landfill

A local resident is saying the landfill is becoming a hazard to her property and possibly the town.

Andrea Weissenborn says garbage from the Golden landfill has begun affecting their property. Pictured is just some of the litter that is throughout the property. The Golden Women’s Resource Centre set up a memoial at the fountain on Wednesday, December 6.

Golden Secondary welcomed 30 students from Moga, India for a special two week program on Nov. 27.

This two week program will be an opportunity for both Canadian students and the Indian students to learn about each other’s culture. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort announces official opening

The snowfall has begun and the opening of the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is around the corner.

The ski hill officially opens Friday, December 8, with a preview weekend opening Saturday, Dec. 2 and Sunday, Dec. 3.
