It is with great sadness that the Caldwell family announces the unexpected passing of Donald Max Caldwell at age 70 on May 25, 2013 at the Foothill's Hospital in Calgary, AB. For the last 30 years, he has called Golden, BC home.

Born in Cardston, AB, to the late Wanda Woolf and Darrell Dean Caldwell, he had 5 siblings of which three, Monty, Dean, and Orpha, have gone before him. He is survived by his two sisters, Connie Jasperson of Cardston, AB & Corrine Beck of Lethbridge, AB, his mother in law, Irene Matson of Thunder Bay, ON, many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

In 1970, he married his best friend, Patricia Matson, and had two children, Kym Caldwell of Winnipeg, MB, and Aaron Caldwell of Calgary, AB of whom he was very proud. Harri, his dog, was a loyal companion.

Don loved cooking good food and telling great stories. Before he retired as owner, you could find him in booth #1 of Legendz Diner doing both.

A service will be held June 15, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Mount 7 Rec plex. Please feel free to bring your classic, hot rod, or tuner cars in Don's honour. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Stars Ambulance Services in his name or to your favourite charity.
