Patsy Cline tribute comes to the Golden Legion on Friday

An evening with Patsy Cline is a the Golden Legion tonight (July 14)

Award winning tribute artist Bonnie Kilroe is bringing Patsy Cline to life for a special performance in Golden.

In 2016 Kilroe had the honour of performing to a sold out performance in Patsy Cline’s hometown of Winchester, Virginia, which included some of Patsy’s relatives. She is very excited to bring that same show to Golden.

Like so many of the most influential singers, Pasty Cline died far too soon but her memory lives on. But even since that tragic ending, March 5, 1963, Cline’s music has continued to cross boundaries and reach a diverse audience. Cline’s haunting and honey soprano voice has influenced a wide range of artists as Loretta Lynn and Linda Ronstadt, to Bryan Adams and K.D. Lang.

Now, 53 years after her tragic end, the Golden Legion presents A very Special Evening with Pasty Cline.

Kilroe has appeared from Alaska to Antarctica with three suitcases full of costumes and wigs impersonating everyone from Cher, Barbra Streisand to Lady Gaga to sold out shows. Step back in time and imagine that you are one of the lucky fans with a ticket to see one of the world’s greatest country Legends headlining at the Mint Casino in Vegas.

Kilroe captures the unique vocal talent and re-creates the flamboyant fashion styling and passion of Patsy Cline with uncanny accuracy. She is an award winning impersonator, nominated for five awards and winning two at this year’s Celebrity Impersonators Convention in Las Vegas.

Her Patsy Cline tribute brings alive the songs you loved to hear Patsy sing like “Crazy”, “Sweet Dreams”, “Walking after Midnight”, “I fall to Pieces” and many more bringing the audience back to gentler times of life with great music and superb showmanship. Audience participation is encouraged and adds an extra element of novelty and surprise. Natural comic timing, striking looks and versatile vocals make for a mesmerizing feast for your entertainment senses. Even if you have never heard of songs like “I Fall To Pieces,” “Walkin’ After Midnight” or “Crazy” you will walk away a fan of both Patsy and Bonnie.

An Evening with Patsy Cline is at the Golden Legion this Friday, July 14, starting at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $15, and are available at the Legion.
